In Assam, the ULFA ‘chairman’ Arabinda Rajkhowa and ‘deputy commander-in-chief’ Raju Baruah have been remanded to judicial custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court, Kamrup. They were produced before the Chief judicial Magistrate Justice Robin Phukan by the Special Operation Unit of the Assam Police at the camp court set up inside the Guwahati Central Jail on Saturday evening. The court remanded them to judicial custody as the police did not impose any further case against the rebel leaders. However, the Court sent the body guard of the ULFA chairman, self-styled sergeant Raja Bora for production in the Chief judicial Magistrate’s Court at Dibrugarh in connection with a case registered with Joypur police station in Dibrugarh district. Bora, along with ULFA chief Arabinda Rajkhowa and deputy commander-in-chief Raju Baruah were in police custody for the last 21 days after their reported detention in Bangladesh.<br/><br/>AIR Correspondent reports that as many as seven top ULFA leaders got the opportunity to re-unite in the Guwahati Central Jail after more than a decade following judicial remand of Arabinda Rajkhowa and Raju Baruah.<br/>
