Ukraine has sent the majority of its weapons grade uranium to Russia. According to media reports, the uranium was transported to Moscow yesterday by a special flight from the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkov. Interfax-Ukraine news agency quoting Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Voloshin reports, by removing its highly enriched uranium stockpile Ukraine is fulfilling its commitments made by President Viktor Yanukovych during a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama in April.
