<span style="color: #222222;">In Manipur, people of Ukhrul district has decided to extend quarantine period for 28 days for those incoming stranded persons and come up with an innovative ideas to entertain them during their month long confinement in quarantine centres. A report from our correspondent J.J Thokchom.<br />''<br />''Every villages of Ukhrul district will look like a festive season as villagers has decided to entertain quarantine persons through songs, sermons, lectures.<br />''<br />''Tangkhul Civil Societies of Ukhrul district, local MLAs, officials from District Administration, Police and other stakeholders had decided to extend 14 days more for quarantine for the incoming persons as preventive measure. A quarantine centre will be arranged in each villages.<br />''<br />''Speaking to AIR News, Convenor of Tangkhul Forum on COVID-19 Mr. Tuisem Kamkara said they are going to stay for 28 days in confinement. So villagers have decided to conduct various activities to entertain them and make them feel homely.<br />''<br />''Using the PA system, they will be given chance to share their experiences, their family members will be invited to deliver encouraging words, pastors and children will give sermons and sing songs for them. Bible and other books will be provided to them during their stay and competitions will be held on the final day. They will be allowed to collect wild fruits and vegetables in social distancing norms and will be taught on the importance of environment, he said.<br />''<br />''Police and medical teams will regularly visit the quarantine centres to check the compliance of quarantine rules. Control Room has been set up for each quarantine centre for enhancement of services required during their stay.</span><br />
