U’khand govt. to give 3,000 rupees per month to PDS ration shop dealers

Uttarakhand government would give minimum three thousand rupees per month remuneration to those PDS ration shop dealers whose commission amount less than this amount. State Food and Civil Supply Minister Divakar Bhatt told media persons in Dehradun that the government would duly compensate dealers earning commission less than this amount. This was mainly to discourage practice of black marketing among the PDS dealers. He said that raids would be carried out at fair price shops randomly to check malpractices in distribution of grains through PDS. Mr.Bhatt said village chiefs and patwaris, along with the PDS shop dealers, would be made accountable for smooth distribution of the subsidised food grains to beneficiaries and action would be initiated against them in the event of any complaint.
