U'khand floods: Rescue operation from Badrinath & Pithoragarh to be completed; Over 1300 people rescued so far

In Uttarakhand, bad weather affected rescue operations by helicopters in Badrinath and Pithoragarh this morning. But Army, ITBP and NDRF are continuing evacuation of stranded people by road. Authorities say, they plan to complete evacuation of all stranded people by this evening if weather conditions permit them. Our correspondent takes a look at rescue operations carried by multiple agencies in flash flood affected areas of the state yesterday.

Meanwhile, an eight member team of Archaeological Survey of India, ASI will visit Kedarnath temple today. The team will assess the damage to the historical and temple caused by the flash flood and submits its report to the government. Team members reached Dehradun yesterday and met the Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna. He asked the ASI experts to prepare a work plan for the restoration of the temple
