Uttarakhand assembly began today on a stormy note with the opposition BJP interrupting Governor Margaret Alva’s address and the House being adjourned till evening. Our correspondent reports that the house adjourned within few minutes amid noisy scenes.Air Correspondent reports that as soon as, the opening session of the newly elected third Assembly began, the opposition BJP members were on their feet raising a voice against alleged violations of the parliamentary traditions by the Congress Government led by Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna. Meanwhile, Mrs. Alva in her address said that her government would fight against corruption, and provide clean and transparent governance. Focussing upon her government’s priorities, she said that it would improve e-governance, education, health and agriculture. It would also boost employment opportunities and strengthen law and order machinery along with many other steps for all-round development of the hill state.
