In Uttarakhand, around 1500 people were evacuated from Harsil, Badrinath and Pithoragarh today. Talking to media persons at Dehradunthis evening, Chief Secretary of the State Subhash Kumar informed that all stranded people in Harsil have been evacuated.

He said, only in Badrinath 2500 pilgrims and locals are stranded and they will also be evacuated within 3 to 4 days. He said that reports of missing of 3,000 people have been received and the government is trying to locate them on the basis of their location of last mobile call.

He said, call details of missing persons' mobile phone numbers are being sought from service providers.
