He thanked the Indian government for close cooperation on the issue.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The UK had so far not accepted India's Covishield certification due to which Indian travellers were required to undergo 10-day quarantine with expensive Covid tests on day 2 and day 8 of arrival. India had last week hit back by imposing similar conditions on travellers arriving from the UK in response to the British Government's discriminatory travel rules.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Serum Institute India (SII) CEO Adar Poonawalla thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson after the UK Government announced no quarantine for fully vaccinated Indian travellers in the UK from 11th of October. In a tweet, he said that this is a great example of the close relationship between our two countries.</span>
