British police have arrested a fifth person over the fatal shooting of an Indian student in Salford. The 20-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of murdering Anuj Bidve, who was shot in the head at close range in Ordsall Lane.

Mr Bidve, 23, had travelled to the UK from India to study at Lancaster University. He was in Greater Manchester for the festive period. Police said four teenagers arrested earlier also remain in custody.
