The UK is launching its first trade mission since the vote to leave the EU, as Business Secretary Sajid Javid meets the Indian government in Delhi. He will discuss how the trading relationship with India might work with the UK outside the European Union. According to UK Trade and Investment, India is the third biggest foreign investor in the UK. The government body said total trade between the two countries was 16.55 billion euros last year. Mr Javid said there is a strong bilateral trade relationship between the two countries. Brexit supporters argue the UK will be able to negotiate better trade deals with fast-growing economies such as India than it currently has as an EU member. The business secretary will also visit the US, China, Japan and South Korea in the coming months.
