In Pune, two police officers from Greater Manchester, UK, met Anuj Bidve’s family at their residence for the second day on Tuesday, and promised support and guidance in court proceedings against the guilty. In a statement, Mr. Russ Jackson, Chief Superintendent, Greater Manchester Police, said the purpose of the visit was to speak with the family of Anuj and to support them. The police also informed that the procedure is being done for repatriation of Anuj’s body which is expected to complete soon.
Mr. Anuj Bidve, a post-graduate student at the Lancaster University , was shot dead on December 26 when he was walking down the street in Salford near Manchester with a group of Indian friends.
