Mr Nilekani said using data to enhance decision making capabilities and informed decision making is at the core of the rationale for the public portal.
Echoing the similar views on the occasion, UIDAI Director General, Ram Sewak Sharma, said the public data portal will enable big data analysis using crowd sourcing model for the benefit of the society at large.
Our correspondent reports, UIDAI is currently releasing five data sets pertaining to Aadhaar enrolment and another five data sets pertaining to Aadhaar authentication.
