The Unique Identification Authority of India, UIDAI, today launched the Aadhaar official channel on You Tube to educate people about Aadhaar number and its uses. According to UIDAI, the channel consists of informational films on the Aadhaar enrolment process and its role in furthering the goal of financial inclusion, and television commercials.

AIR correspondent reports, the new communication medium comes at a time when UIDAI is starting the 2nd phase of Aadhaar enrolments across the country and Aadhaar-enabled payments of various schemes which are about to begin in 50 districts.
