UGC develops draft curricular framework, credit system for 4 Years' Undergraduate Programme

<span style="color: #222222;">As per the provisions of National Education Policy-2020, the University Grants Commission(UGC) has developed a draft curricular framework and credit system for Four Years' Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) to equip students in one or more subject areas.  This was stated by the Union Minister of State for Education Dr. Subhas Sarkar in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.<br />''<br />''He said that the draft Four Years' Undergraduate Programme has been placed in public domain for seeking suggestions from stakeholders. The Minister said that the UGC has informed that in the existing structure of degree programme, the total duration of Under Graduate(UG) and Post-Graduate(PG) programmes is five years and the total duration of the UG and PG programmes recommended in the NEP-2020 is also five years leading to not much change in the infrastructure requirement.</span><br />
