The University Grants Commission, UGC has allocated a special grant of 54 Crore rupees to Jamia Millia Islamia. This fund will be used for the upgradation of laboratories and construction of new buildings. According to a press release, this special allocation is over and above the XIth Plan General Development Grant sanctioned by the UGC to the University.
