The Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission (UERC) has introduced fixed charges of 5 rupees per month for BPL consumers in snowbound areas of the state. AIR correspondent reports, the UERC has also announced new power tariffs for the current financial year with an average increase of five percent for the consumers in the hill state.
