Udta Punjab: BJP denies govt role in Censor Board's decision, rejects AAP's charges

BJP today rejected charges of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that the Censor Board has stopped the release of film Udta Punjab at government's behest. <br/><br/>Replying to a media query in New Delhi, senior party leader and Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that the government has no role in stopping its release. He alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party survives on controversies and it do so for political purpose. <br/><br/>When asked whether he believes that Punjab suffered from drug problem, Mr. Rudy said, he does not think that there is any such problem in the state. He added that the Akali Dal-BJP government in the state is doing an excellent work. <br/><br/>The Censor Board's objections to the Shahid and Kareena Kapoor starrer movie, Udta Punjab, have stirred a political row.
