UDMF may take part in the voting process in 3rd phase of PM election in Nepal, hints Upendra

In Nepal, the Chairman of Madhesh Janadhikar Forum Upendra Yadav has hinted that the United Democratic Madheshi Front, the alliance of four Madheshi parties may take part in the voting process in the third phase of Prime Ministerial election slated for August 2.Talking to newsmen in Kathmandu today, Yadav said the Madheshi Front would support any one of the two contestants-Unified CPN (Maoist) Chairman Prachanda or the Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel- whoever comes up with a written commitment to fulfil their demands on peace, constitution and Madheshi issues including an autonomous Madeshi state comprising the whole of Terai region. He however stressed the need for consensus among all major parties to complete the peace process and writing of the constitution, no matter whoever wins the election. The four Terai based parties- Madhesh Janddhikar Forum, Madhesh Jandhikar Forum(Loktantrik, Terai Madhesh Loktantrik party and the Sadbhavna Party, who recently reactivated the United Madhesh Democratic Front did not take part in the last two Prime Ministerial elections along with the CPN(UML), the third largest party in the constituent assembly.
