UDF urges Kerala Govt to implement HC order on encroachments

In Kerala, the United Democratic Front today urged the state government to fully implement the High Court order relating to the encroachments in Wynad. <br/><br/>Briefing media persons after a meeting of UDF leaders in Kochi today, the Front Convenor Mr P P Thankachan said further course of action will depend on steps taken by the government based on the High Court order. <br/><br/>He said this will be decided during the UDF Coordination Committee meet schduled to take place in Thiruvananthapuram next week. <br/><br/>Terming the encroachments in Wynad by tribals as a political drama and a deliberate ploy to divert public attention from the encroachments in Munnar, he said the state government should ensure that all encroachers are fully evicted from government lands.<br/><br/>He urged the CPM State Secretary Mr Pinarayi Vijayan to spell out his party's stand on the encroachment issue.
