The Election Manifesto of the Congress led United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala was released in Kochi on Friday. The UDF manifesto promises rice at one rupee a kilo for all BPL card holders and at rupees two a kilo for others. It also promises, agricultural loans at three per cent interest, Hill Area Development Authority for the development of the hilly regions and providing electricity to all households within a year. The manifesto also promises steps to boost production and productivity in the agriculture and industrial sector and prevention of exploitation by lotteries run by other states, among other things. The manifesto was released by the leaders of constituent parties of the UDF.
