Uddhav Thackeray-led faction of Shivsena has approached Supreme Court challenging Maharashtra Governor's decision to invite Eknath Shinde to form government in the state. It has also challenged the Election of the Assembly Speaker. The top court has posted a hearing of this plea on 11th of July along with earlier petitions. The apex court had agreed to hear this matter also on 11th of this month along with other petitions related to this matter.  A Vacation Bench headed by Justice Indira Banerjee had said the fresh plea would be heard by the same bench after the summer break on Monday along with other pending pleas.
