A Federal Judge in the United States has blocked parts of a tough new Immigration Bill passed by the State of Arizona, which President Obama has described as misguided and Latino groups racist. The Judge agreed with President Obama's argument that the Immigration Law is the constitutional responsibility of the Federal Government and not a matter for the State of Arizona. The controversial Arizona Law which was due to have come into effect on Thursday would have required the State police to check the immigration status of people detained for other offences.
