The Centre is planning to use Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to detect Naxal hideouts in dense forests and hilly terrain and monitor their movements .According to official sources the trials of the UAVs, have recently been conducted in Hissar and Delhi and more trials will be carried out in jungles of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand soon. The sources said that Since Maoists keep changing their movements, deployment of UAVs will certainly be an advantage for security forces.The UAVs, with in-built cameras, well-equipped data links and video links, will gather and record information, which will be shared among the security forces engaged in anti-Naxal operations, especially in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, Maharashtra and West Bengal.<br/>
