The President of the United Arab Emirates made a rare public appearance today to receive Eid greetings from the royalty , Sheiks, other senior officials and dignitaries.<br/>'<br/>Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan suffered a stroke in January 2014, and underwent an emergency surgery. He has rarely been seen in public since, fueling speculation about the state of his health.<br/>'<br/>The state-run WAM news agency released a picture of Sheikh Khalifa seated in an ornate room at Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen Palace alongside ruling family members gathered to mark the Eid al-Fitr holiday.<br/>'<br/>The ruler of Dubai and the Prime Minister and Vice President of UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and rulers of Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Qaiwaim and Ras Al Khaimah were also present on the occasion.
