UAE will join 175 countries covering over 7000 cities to participate in one of the biggest environmental event 'Earth Hour' to raise awareness amongst people to care and protect the Planet. Ten years after the world's first Earth Hour in Sydney put the spotlight on climate change, the landmark movement of the World Wide Fund for Nature is set once again to unite millions of people around the globe.<br/><br/>The world's largest grassroots movement for the environment, which mobilises individuals, communities and organisations globally to do their part to help check climate change, will take place tonight. Dubai is participating in Earth Hour for the 10th consecutive year. Across the country, key landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Burj Al Arab, Etihad Towers, Al Qasba and many other government buildings will fade into darkness for one hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. Residents will also undertake a candle march at the appointed hour to mark the Earth Hour.
