The foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be paying an official visit to India on the 27th of this month. According to diplomatic sources, he will be accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as business leaders and CEOs of key companies. Sheikh Abdullah is likely to hold discussions with External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna as well as senior Indian leaders on bilateral and international issues. India and the UAE have close relations based on historic foundations. Currently, India and UAE are mutually largest trading partners with bilateral trade amounting to around 44 billion dollars in 2009-2010 and substantial investments growing from both sides. In addition, the UAE is an important supplier of crude oil to India. The UAE also has a 25 lakh strong Indian community living there.
