A U.S. military airplane today made an emergency landing at an airport in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad due to technical glitch.The airport administration said all the 176 passengers on board the C-17 aircraft of U.S. army were safe. However, there were no further comments from the Pakistani aviation authorities and the U.S. embassy in Islamabad.The plane was airlifting flood-affected people from north Pakistan and was returning to Islamabad from the resort city of Skardu in Gilgit. Flight operation at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport was temporarily suspended and several flights coming to Islamabad were diverted to other cities.
