In the U.S., a bomb squad removed eight sticks of plastic explosives, which were stuffed in a black garbage bag from the historic Marble Cemetery in Manhattan.The area around the cemetery was cordoned off. According to Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, the explosives did not appear to be connected to a terrorism plot as there was no ignition device connected to the explosives.
