A team of U.K. police from Greater Manchester has reached Pune to meet the family of Anuj Bidve who was shot dead in the Ordsall district on 26th December.

Official sources said that the team will brief the family on the investigation and also facilitate their travel to Manchester to claim the body.

Earlier the British Members of Parliament Keith Vaz and Hazel Blears called on the family to assure cooperation from the U.K. government.

The U.K. police has also announced a 50,000 pound reward for information about the incident.

UK government is taking further steps to take the murder case to the logical conclusion.

Official sources said that New Delhi is satisfied with the prompt action taken by the British government in the murder of Anuj Bidve case.

AIR correspondent reports that 23 year old Anuj Bidve was shot in the head in point blank range in Salford . He was a post graduate student at Lanchester University . .
