U-19 Cricket:Oz beat S.Africa; enter final

Hosts Australia today stormed into the finals of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In the first semi-final played at Townsville, Australia defeated South Africa by 4 wickets. Put into bat, the South Africans got off to a pedestrian start as they lost three wickets at a score of just 37. But, it was the 88-run fourth wicket stand between opener Chad Bowes and Murray Coetzee, which rescued the Proteas and helped them post a modest 191 for 8 in the stipulated 50 overs. Medium Pacer Mark Steketee bagged 3 wickets for the Aussies.Chasing 192 for victory, Australia overhauled the target with 4 wickets intact and 9 balls to spare. Opener Cameron Bancroft Bancroft top scored for the hosts with a brilliant 66 and was adjudged man of the match.The second semi-final between India and New Zealand will be played at Townsville on the 23rd of August. The final match is slated for August 26th.
