India defeated minnows Papua New Guinea by 245 runs in a league match of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup at Sharjah today. After piling up a mammoth 301 for six in their 50 overs, India bowled out Papua New Guinea for a paltry score of 56 in 28.2 overs. The convincing win ensured India top Group A. The defending champions had earlier defeated Pakistan and Scotland in their previous fixtures.
