Typhoon Megi is heading towards southern China after killing at least thirteen people in the northern Philippines. Chinese forecasters said the centre of the storm is expected to hit the mainland Guangdong province, they don't know exactly where, but somewhere between the Hainan island and Hong Kong. Thousands of people have been evacuated from Guangdong coastal areas. In the Philippines, President Aquino said careful preparations kept the death toll relatively low as the typhoon swept over northern Luzon island.
