Two naval warships left Mumbai on Saturday to bring back Indian Nationals stranded in the trouble torn Libya. Defence spokesperson Capt Manohar Nambiar told AIR in Mumbai that INS Mysore and INS Jalashwa have left the city port in the afternoon to evacuate Indian nationals from Libya and would take atleast eight days to reach its destination.The ships have been specially equipped for the task with full medical facilities like operation theatre, doctors and paramedics and are also carrying helicopters and a contingent of marine Special Forces personnel. The ships will help in the evacuating of Indian nationals from Libya and will transport people to either Malta or Egypt. The rescued people will then avail Air India flights for returning back to the country.
