In Afghanistan, two US soldiers and one civilian killed in the latest incident of roadside bomb explosions while four militants and three civilians were killed in western province of Herat. A press statement said a US soldier and a civilian contractor killed in an IED strike in eastern Afghanistan while another soldier died in southern province. Four Taliban militants and three civilians were killed as clash erupted between Taliban militants and foreign troops in Herat province. District Governor Lal Mohammad Omarzai said the clash erupted last night when Taliban attacked a patrol team of international troops from a house in Shindand district and the troops returned fire killing four rebels. He said three more civilians including a man from the same house were killed and three children got wounded. More than 1,500 civilians are said to have been killed in the violence so far this year.<br/>
