In Uttar Pradesh, two police constables posted in Musa Jhag police station of Badaun district, have been suspended for allegedly gang-raping a minor girl of a nearby village on Wednesday night. The matter came to light yesterday when the kin of the victim approached the SP City of Badaun, Lallan Singh and narrated the incident. Talking to AIR, SSP Badaun, Atul Kumar said that an FIR has been lodged in the matter. The accused constables Avnish Yadav and Veerpal Yadav are absconding and police is trying to nab them, the SSP said. He also informed that a medical examination on the girl will be carried out today.

AIR correspondent quoting sources, reports that the two constables allegedly in inebriated condition, dragged the girl into their car and took her into the thana premises. They allegedly gangraped and later dumped the girl in the midnight near her village. The victim's father was away having an eye operation in Bareilly and only the girl and her mother were present in the house.
