In Assam, police arrested two ULFA militants in Guwahati on Wednesday morning suspected to be involved in the bomb blast at Rajib Bhaban, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee office on 14th of this month. Senior Superintendent of Police of Guwahati said that acting on a tip off, police arrested the militants of the banned outfit. Earlier, on 17th March, another ULFA cadre was arrested by the police suspected to be involved in the explosion. Police also recovered mobile SIM card and debit card from them. Further investigation is going on. On the eve of Assembly elections slated to be held on 4th and 11th of next month, the security has been intensified across the state. It may be recalled that the powerful explosion left five persons injured including senior Congress party leaders.
