Two Lashker-e-Toiba (LET) terrorists were today killed in an encounter with security forces in Pattan area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district. A senior police officer said, two AK rifles were recovered from the spot. He said, the ultras, Nissar Ahmad Mir and Mohammad Ibrahim Janwari, both locals, were hiding in Nihalpora village and were wanted in a number of militancy related cases. The police officer said, the operation was a major breakthrough.The duo were asked to surrender after being trapped in the wee hours of Saturday morning, but they refused and instead opened fire. The officer said, the house they had taken shelter in was partially damaged in the gunbattle.
