In Rajasthan, two solar parks would be developed in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer in 16 thousand hectare area. The state government has drafted a new solar policy and announced different schemes for promotion of production of solar energy. For this purpose a land bank will also be developed. Our correspondent reports that there is a potential of one lakh megawatt electricity from solar energy in Rajasthan.
