Two judges of the Supreme Court have recuse themselves from hearing the bail plea of DMK MP Kanimozhi, an accused in the 2G Spectrum allocation case. PTI reports that Justices P Sathasivam and A K Patnaik conveyed their decision to Chief Justice of India, Justice S.H. Kapadia to recuse themselves. Chief Justice has constituted another bench with Justice G.S. Singhvi who will hold a special hearing on Monday along with Justice B.S.Chauhan to decide the bail applications of Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar. Meanwhile, In an affidavit filed before the apex court, the CBI has opposed the bail plea of Kanimozhi and Kumar on the ground that if released, they could tamper with evidence and influence witnesses.
