Two F16 jet fighters of the Royal Thai Air Force crashed today while taking part in a US -Thai joint military exercises. Both the pilots on board were rescued. According to Air Vice Marshal Monton Sanchukorn, two F16 jet fighters disappeared from the radar screen after four of them took off from an air base in the north-eastern Nakhonratchasima province. They were taking part in joint military exercise with the US air force as part of Cobra Gold 2011 war game. Later, the two F16s were found crashed in northeastern Chaiyabhum province. An investigation has been ordered into the crash and rescue teams have been sent to the crash site.
