Two reportedly killed, several others injured in capital Tehran

Iranian semi official Press TV says, two people were killed and several others injured in capital Tehran on Monday. Quoting Iranian Deputy Police Chief Brigadier-General Ahmad Reza Radan it says that nine security forces were among the injured. Several people were also arrested in the riots. The opposition had asked for permission to hold a public rally in support of the people in Tunisia and Egypt but the Iranian government refused to give permission and declared all such rallies illegal. The official media has blamed anti-government groups, including members of the anti-Iran terrorist group Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO), for riots and killings. Members of Iran's parliament have called for opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi to be tried and executed.US President Barack Obama has said that while the Iranian government had celebrated the fall of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, it had attacked and beaten its own citizens holding peaceful demonstrations. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told state TV that it is clear that the Iranian nation has enemies.
