Two of four detained Indians in Libya brought back safely to Sirte University: MEA

Two of the four abducted Indians in Libya have been brought back safely to University of Sirte. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, in a tweet expressed happiness over the safe release of Lakshmikant and Vijay Kumar. She said, efforts are on to secure safe release of the remaining two.<br/><br/>The four Indian nationals were abducted in Libya while returning to India via Tripoli and Tunis. Indian mission in Tripoli came to know last Wednesday that they were abducted at a place approximately 50 kilometres from Sirte.

In a tweet, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said, efforts are on to secure safe release of the remaining two.<br/>The four Indians were detained in Libya while returning to India via Tripoli and Tunis. Indian mission in Tripoli came to know last Wednesday that they were detained at a checkpoint approximately 50 kilometres from Sirte.
