In order to expand the outreach of rehabilitation services for differently abled peoples in the country, two new Composite Regional Centres,CRCs, have been setup at Ahmedabad in Gujarat and Kozhikode in Kerala.

According to an official release the new,CRCs,have been established with a view to facilitating the creation of the required infrastructure and capacity building at Central, State and District levels. It also aims to create awareness, training of rehabilitation professionals and service delivery.

Our correspondent reports that around six CRCs are functioning in different parts of the country including Sundernagar, Srinagar, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna and Bhopal.
