In Assam, two hardcore militants belonging to the anti-talk faction of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) were killed in separate encounters with security forces in Kokrajhar district. Official sources said, one militant was killed in joint operation with Army and Police at Nayekgaon under Kokrajhar Police Station on Saturday night. One nine m.m. pistol, one Chinese grenade, two magazines and seven rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the slain militant. Another militant was shot dead at Duligaon area under Bogribari police station in the same district on Saturday night itself. One German-made pistol, 5 rounds of live ammunition, 3 empty cartridges and some incriminating documents were recovered from the slain NDFB militant. The militants were yet to be identified.
