Two more US internet companies pull out of China

After Google, two more American internet companies announced their decision to pull out of China. The pull out from China is in view of restrictions on internet freedom and censorships imposed by the Chinese authorities on them. Christine Jones, the Executive vice president of Go Daddy, which runs the world's largest domain name service, informed a Congressional committee that the company will no longer register new Web Sites in China. The company said the move is in response to China's new website ownership rules, which require holders of domains to provide their personal information, including photographs of themselves to the Chinese government. Another company that offers similar services, NetworkSolutions LLC, also said that it had stopped handling ChinaWeb registrations in December, for the same reason.
