Two more Shramik Special trains reach Jharkhand today bringing around 2500 migrant labourers

Two more Shramik Special trains have reached Jharkhand today bringing around 2500 migrant labourers from Telangana and Punjab at Koderma and Barkakana Railway Station in Koderma and Ramgarh district.
''
''Koderma Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Gholap had earlier requested the Railway Ministry to include Koderma as a stoppage station for Shramik Special trains so that people belonging to different districts of Koderma, Hazaribagh, Giridih, Deoghar, Dhanbad and Pakur can be conveniently sent back to their homes. Bringing the migrants from Hatia Station in Ranchi usually took a longer time and was difficult to manage for the respective District Administration. The request was acknowledged and the first special train reached Koderma today. Another special train from Surat in Gujarat will also reach Koderma Station.
''
''On similar lines, a Shramik Special train from Punjab ferrying 1,216 migrants has reached Barkakana Station in Ramgarh district today. This is the fifth special train reaching this station. All passengers have been medically screened with thermal scanner under necessary protocols. Food packets, drinking water, face-masks and sanitizers are also being provided by the authorities. Post screening, the passengers are being sent to their respective home district via buses.
