In Uttar Pradesh, two more MLAs from ruling Bahujan Samaj have been disqualified from the state Assembly under anti-defection law.Assembly Speaker Sukhdeo Rajbhar on Saturday disqualified rebel ruling MLAs Dashrath Chauhan and Jitendra Singh alias Babloo Singh who had recently defected to Samajwadi Party and Peace Party respectively.Speaker has said the action has been taken against them on the petition filed by BSP state unit president Swami Prasad Maurya.Chauhan was MLA from from Hainser Bazar constituency at Sant Kabir Nagar district while Babloo was elected from Bikapur in Faizabad district. Their disqualification has come into effect from August 11 and July 7.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that four MLAs from ruling BSP including Satish Kumar Verma from Hardoi, Sher Bahadur Singh from Jalalpur constituency in Ambedkar Nagar district, Mahfooz Kidwai, from Masauli in Barabanki district and Sribhagwan Sharma alias Guddu Pandit from Debai in Bulandshahr district had been disqualified from the Assembly under anti-defection law.The BSP had filed petitions against them seeking their disqualification as they had joined Samajwadi Party. Speaker has also initiated legal actions for realisation of the monetary privileges taken by the disqualified members from their disqualification.
