In Brazil, about two lakh people have taken to the streets of Rio de Janeiro to protest against government plans to redistribute oil revenues in favour of those States that do not produce oil. Rio state officials say, the loss of income could impact on Rio de Janeiro's ability to host the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics.
