Two militants of Hizbul Mujahideen arrested in J & K

In Jammu and Kashmir, Police, CRPF and Railways Police on Tuesday arrested two militants of pro-Pak militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen soon after they boarded off from Gorakhpur Express at Jammu Railway Station. The militants, hailing from Kashmir valley had taken aerial route to reach Kathmandu from Islamabad and then entered Uttar Pradesh from Nepal to reach Jammu in a train. The arrested militants have been identified as Abdul Jabbar Khan and Shamim Ahmed Sheikh. Police have recovered 2700 American dollars, a Pakistani National Identity Card (NIC), four Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) boarding cards from Islamabad to Kathmandu and four mobile telephones including the one carrying a Pakistani SIM card. The militants had crossed over to Pakistan during 1990-91 where they underwent arms training in several camps. After training their services were being utilized by the militant commanders to train more ultras in Pakistan. By arresting two Hizbul Mujahideen militants, Police have foiled the militants plot to strengthen their network in Jammu. According to sources the duo had become apart of decision making of the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit in Pakistan and Pak Occupied Kashmir and were playing a crucial role in the outfit’s decisions pertaining to stepping up militancy in J&K State. <br/>
