In Thailand, two militants were killed after a bomb they were transporting prematurely exploded in country's violence-plagued Sabayoi district, Songkhla province. <br/><br/>Military spokesman Colonel Yutanam Petchmoang, said in Narathiwat that two militants died while transporting an improvised explosive device. <br/><br/>The military said insurgents launched a string of gun and grenade attacks last night in the region plagued by unrest for over a decade as ethnic Malay rebels battle Thai troops for more autonomy from the Buddhist-majority state. The fighting has claimed more than 6,800 lives mostly civilians since 2004. <br/><br/>Thailand's southernmost border provinces, Malay, a former Muslim sultanates, were annexed by Bangkok more than a century ago.
